After a brief period of panic, I am sure that the Lisbon-Paris flight misunderstanding has been resolved.
First, Matt e-mailed the hostel where we are staying in Lisbon and asked how much it would cost to change our reservation. In fact, there is no cost to change our reservation so we will not lose any money in changing our plans for staying in Lisbon. Thank god for high-ranked hostels and good customer service!
Second, the hostel we have booked for Paris on June 28 and 29 imposes a lockout between 11am and 4pm but they do not specify when their reception closes down. I am assuming that they close quite early because 24hr reception is not advertised like it is on other hostel sites. Our Lisbon-Paris flight lands in Paris at 10:45pm. SO, I think we will get a taste of another Paris hostel in Montmartre. (Plus, it's cheaper than booking Saturday night with Square Caulaincourt!)
Finally, I will not have to modify my flight plans. The total cost to fix this messup will be about $35CAD/person.
The moral of the story is: keep your travel plans organized. That way, you won't end up having to pay for stupid mistakes.
On the upside, I plan on stopping by Chapters sometime this week to pick up a Spain/Portugal visitor's book. Though they tend to be touristy and probably not that useful, but it will keep me focused on the light at the end of the tunnel that is my first year of grad school. In only four months, I will be on a plane to Europe!!

It took me a while to figure out what was actually wrong. I just assumed you booked on the 28th but didn't even notice what was wrong until you pointed it out.
As of yet I haven't booked any of my mini flights. I have a feeling I will stay in Portugal longer, maybe until the Monday until flights are cheaper. I'm debating whether to go back to London after (I guess it would be easiest), Geneva (cheap flight), or back to Ireland (slim chance). So many things to ponder. Too bad you're not in Lisbon longer. You'll just have about 2.5 days there.
I KNOW!! It's probably one of the cities I most wanted to see, but, barring any unforeseen unfortunate incidents while visiting Portugal, I will return and do a more comprehensive tour of the Spain/Portugal region. Sigh.
Wow, I'm so jealous. Geneva would be cool. I think Adam has family in Geneva and his ancestors used to own a castle in Switzerland that stands today.
